Welcome to the IGS School Council’s webpage, where you can keep up to date on all our upcoming events and activities as well as student’s opinions and perspectives. As a School Council we seek to represent all pupils, by putting forward their ideas and successfully putting them into practice. Our aim is to support our school, assist in enhancing its facilities, and help strengthen the bond between the school and its students who elected us.

Every year, the Year 11 school council run a charity campaign, organising many events and working hard to raise money.  This year, we have decided to support the Save the Children- East Africa appeal and help ease the suffering of children less fortunate than themselves.

So far we have been hard at work and are fully committed to doing the best we can to raise the most we can, as well as adding a little fun into the students’ days.

The movie morning which we organized was a great success and all enjoyed munching on nachos and popcorn.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, students can also expect to enjoy a nice lunch, prepared by the Year 11s. Briyani, kebabs, pasta, hot sandwiches, hotdogs…

It doesn’t stop there. The school council is full of ideas and have many more events planned for the future.  Following are some dates for the coming events:
